My Brief English Tips (Verb Stay)

"My house stays near the bakery." Don't say that. We shouldn't use the verb 'stay' when talking about the position or location of something. Typically, we use the verb 'is' or 'is located' when talking about the position or location of something. So, a more common way to express this would be:

"My house is near the bakery."

or

"My house is located near the bakery."

The verb "stay" is often used to describe someone's presence in a particular place for a period of time. In general, "stay" is used when you want to emphasize the duration, presence, or continuity of a situation, whether it's related to a person's location, state, or condition.

Until next, bye-bye!
